December was very busy and merry full of fun for residents, staff, families and friends.

We took the opportunity to go out to community carols at Selsey Library with Medmerry School, see ‘Cinderella’ at the Academy, we ‘Returned to Sunday School’ at East Beach Evangelical Church and enjoyed Cloud 9’s panto ‘Dick Whittington’ at Selsey Town Hall.

At The Old Malthouse, some residents made Christmas cards for their families, helped with decorations and some chose to vote, by post, in the General Election.

Closer to Christmas residents’ hair & nails were done ready for our Party. Everyone had a good time with our singer, Adrian, winning raffle prizes, eating, drinking and being merry!

For those unable to go out, we invited Gainsborough Singers, Jill & Jo, Medmerry and Seal Schools for sing-a-long Christmas carols & songs.

We also enjoyed East Beach Evangelical Church’s Carol Service and Tickled Pink Theatre’s ‘Christmas Spectacular’ Show.

To ensure everyone joined in as much as possible, we also took singers, school children and carollers to those unable to leave their rooms.

After a full Christmas week with presents, families and friends visiting, we rounded off the year with a sing-a-long, with John Cheney, on New Year’s Eve.
